Starting anew

I am just guilt-ridden that I have not blogged in MONTHS... Instead of trying to post all that has happened I am going to give a synopsis. The year of 2009 was a year of survival and extreme joy. Tyler survived our parenting skills and I survived going back to work with a 2 and half month infant. My baby is now turning into a little boy. He is such a joy. Every few days he does something new. When he first started dancing he would take it so seriously. Now he smiles and there he is slightly looser with his movements. Cars and his little stuffed animal dog, Trooper, are his favorites. Dustin and I are very busy. I am still teaching and this year is one of my best. It is amazing how much my students can accomplish when I do not take a two and half month maternity leave. Dustin is watching the little man when he can; otherwise, Tyler gets to spend his days with Granny. They have too much fun.

I joined a book club a few months ago and just finished "The Tenderness of Wolves". We updated our entertainment center, replacing the TV as old as my husband. We have enjoyed many, many, many movies through our netflix subscription. We should probably buy stock in Netflix we watch so many movies.
Tyler's birthday was a success. He had 25 friend and family members in attendance. I cooked three pots of chili. Tyler was spoiled completely rotten. Dustin and I gave Tyler a gravel pit, a Caterpillar track filled with pea size gravel.

Harvest was extremely long this year, the corn would not dry down. I hosted Thanksgiving and the guys took an hour off to eat. I made a yummy gravy with white wine and continued to drink
the whole bottle. I was completely de-stressed. We went to Phoenix over Christmas Break and are already planning again for next year.

Right now, Dustin is spending his free time hunting arrowheads and animals. I am looking forward to school holidays and Tyler is being a Turkey buzzard. All in all life is good.
