Day at the races

It was the forth of July and best of all it had rained! That meant the family was headed up to the horse races. This was a pastime that Dustin and I enjoyed before it was the three of us. We were determined to introduce Tyler to the horse races.
The day was 73 degrees and beautiful. Tyler was alert and a bit overwhelmed by all the people. He definitely is a small town boy. Dustin and I won our first bet a $5.00 Quinella turned into $22.00. We then proceeded to lose the next 6 races. It was well worth it.

summer cherry pie

The weather this years has been plentiful in our fruit harvest. This is the first year that the mont morency cherry trees (sour cherries) has had enough cherries for a pie. Yum Yum was it delicious.

My guys

Tyler is growing so fast. I look back at pictures on this blog and cannot believe how small he was. I try to treasure every moment because it flies by.

YHS annual art show

Well, it's that time again. ART SHOW!!!! This has been a very long exhausing week, but it is all worth it. The school rarely see' my students art except for Art Show. It just proves that we actually work in art class. I really believe that the majority of my students have had success.
